Dela Hainsate was a Hallowed of the Crimson Lioness, who lived during the Dawn of the Second Empire. The famous quote "We may be holy warriors, but we still can enjoy life. No need to walk around with a stick upon our asses, so RELAX." Initiates into the order of our Crimson Lady are required to meditate over this particular saying for at least one month. Since Dela Hainsate also went down in history as the only Hallowed who was a berserker, has stolen at least one horse and two swords* and has kidnapped one princess and two princes**, she also serves as a wonderful object lesson regarding when it's applicable to break the Behavorial Code of the Hallowed and when not. Hint: The only acceptable reason is "when I have to save the world." * Everything was retroactivly donated to the temple of the Crimson Lady. Items she has borrowed and brought back are not counted for this purpose. ** The result was a spunky princess happily married to two princes. This odd solution prevented at least two wars and founded the stable dynasty of reasonable, intelligent Emporers and Empresses, who steer the fate of the second Empire even today. And they still donate alot to the temple. |

I also believe you were successful in getting that serene expression back from the line art. The chain mail and her hair look outstanding. I also think the simplistic "holy" background allows for all the focus to be on her, which in this portrait is definitely a plus. Nothing to distract.
"Retroactive donation" and the only acceptable reason for breaking the Behavior Code is "When I am saving the world." That is hilarious. Good to know the holy order can bend the rules when necessary.
